Reset and Reinstall in Big Sur on m1 Mac Mini

Hi everyone!

I would like to do a reset and reinstall on my mini, but I have some memories of their being an issue doing this on m1s. Google is just bringing up old threads, and I was wondering if anyone knows if this issue has been resolved or knows of the proper procedures for doing this?
