I have a MacBook Pro (Monterrey) and an iPhone 8 (iOS 16.4.1) here. I sync my stuff (contacts, calendars etc) manually with a lightning cable, no iCloud. Worked like a charm for a while.

As of recently however I started to get some calendar syncing errors that I couldn't resolve. What did I do? I somehow wiped the calendars from my iPhone, I don't remember how exactly, and I just tried to sync again, thinking that it would just write all calendar data from my Mac to my iPhone. However, not each time I sync, it tries to do the unthinkable: delete 2000+ calendar entries from my Mac! Fortunately there is a "sync later" option to escape from it. How do I get out of this situation?
