seems like resetting nvram (command-option-P-R) is not working here, as it always has. am using my apple keyboard..

can i reset nvram in recovery mode? anyone?

thanks! now if i could only BOOT into recovery; this always worked before, but in the big sur public beta, my apple keyboard is NOT interrupting bootup. ugh....

Apple changed the boot process so boot keys are no longer used. Instead, they now enter the boot options GUI via holding the power button. They explained this in the release notes, but not everyone reads those.

actually, it worked on the 4th (& 5th) try, so am good...

Can you be more specific? I've just looked through the release notes for 'boot', 'key' and 'power' and don't see anything related to this.
