I created a Flash document and now need to resize it smaller. Is there any way of doing this besides reworking the entire timeline?

if you export the movie as a SWF you can then import this as a movie symbol into a new document you can then resize it on the stage like any other symbol

You can resize it using the code within the html page. However, if your Flash movie contains static images (jpgs, pngs....etc) then resizing the swf file may cause some loss of detail in the images. Alternatively you can alter the size of the swf size when you publish the project and this makes the necessary code changes in the html file for you.
