I haven't had the chance to try out Lion, but for those who have used the GM: can anyone tell me if there was resolution independence?

---And also as a side note is it true that Lion is not functioning well with Adobe products?

No. @2x is not a solution to true resolution independence.

No it doesn't work well but will soon when Adobe pushes an update.

I am not a developer and do not have the GM.

Question: Does "@2X" imply that SYSTEM TEXT can be changed to twice the size with this option?

Hoping for "Resolution Independence" . . . but the ability to double the size of the system text on my 27" iMac would be a welcome improvement.

As far as I am aware, HiDPI display mode (aka 2x) isn't something you can enable.

Once you're at 'retina' DPIs what's the point of resolution independence? So much time has been wasted by Apple and other OS developers when all they needed to do was double the DPI and forget about it.

That's all well and good for 'retina' displays. How about the current 27" iMac's ? ?
