Can anyone with old-guy eyes (i.e. both near-sighted and far-sighted) fill me in on the latest skinny?

1. What percentage of apps respect global pref adjustment?

2. Is it worth buying a Max phone (despite preferring smaller devices) for more real estate to radically increase font without bringing the ugly?
