Resolution with my new ATV2

Yesterday I got my new ATV2. I removed my original ATV and connected the new ATV2. The picture on my TV is really small, centered and only covering 50% of the screen. Wife says fix it or put the old one back in. The TV says the source is 720P. Other than the zoom feature on my TV, I don't have any other settings I can change. It seems odd since the first ATV worked so well. I'm not a video expert. Anyone have any ideas?
