Any place but here or there....
I am seriously considering $899 Mini as the MBA had to go back.

Can anyone recommend a monitor that is cross platform, with good brightness and not too expensive (works with this Mini and Windows laptop)? My budget allows for $400 max and I prefer a smaller monitor (24" max).

I need separate Mac and PC systems here for work and design, light video etc.

Thanks!

And you want a 27" 4K display i assume?
I paid $450 in Feb for an LG. Looks and works better in Windows. It auto switches between my Surface Laptop 2 and mini. I also run Windows 10 on mini as well, one reason I chose older Intel midi.

(I'm on Oct 2020 mini but assume it'd be fine, I use HDMI)

Thank you Lynn.

I'd actually want smaller than 27", 4k is fine. I've been told elsewhere here that I should probably look at Thunderbolt 3 for connectivity and obviously, macOS compatibility (cannot return displays, so I'd like to get it right).

There are a lot of discussions going on about display and display issues in Mac Mini forum.
