Any ideas? I've had no issues until when I updated last week, and have had the ipad since 2019

Have tried
- hard reset
- scanning for updates
- multiple restarts
- different outlets/cables/bricks (all of them work perfectly fine with my MBP so not calbes or bricks)

besides backup/erase/restore - any ideas?

Thank you :)

Hello, I have the same problem since 16.2. After a restart the iPad charges normally again. I had the problem already in the 16.2 beta and now also with the RC. I have tested all Apple chargers and cables. That is not the reason. I have this issue with the iPad Pro M2.

I just noticed my iPad wasn’t charging either. I remember seeing this thread earlier today and wondering WTH, and here it affected me too. As other noted, I simple shut down and restart fixed the problem. Gremlins.

Same here, was charging just fine for the whole week while in hot climate, only our two iPhones had issues with charging, especially iPhone 12 Mini, but not the iPads.
Plugged in overnight at 18%, took a peek this afternoon - at 17%. Restarted it, started charging. Did notice tho, for a moment there was something about charging being stopped but it disappeared real quick and I just reconnected charging cable and all was charging fine.
Not sure if its 16.2 being buggy or just climate. But, as I said, been here for more than a week and had no issues charging my 12.9 M1.

Same here, iPad Pro 11" 2008. Thankfully it started working again after a restart. But why would charing require a restart?

Edit: Original charger + orignal apple USB-C cable.
