My daughter just informed me that she could unlock my iPhone 5s using her forefinger. I asked were to demonstrate and she was able to unlock my phone w/o any issues at all. As easily as when I use my forefinger.

Am I not alone in this?

EDIT: She just admitted to knowing my passcode and adding her own fingerprint.

Are you sure she doesn't just know your code and didn't add herself?

So my son is 1 1/2 clearly too young to mess with settings on a phone. He was playing with the wife's phone and knew to press the button to trun it on from watching her do it. Oddly enough he was able to unlock her phone with his thumb the same way as well. Now I'm sorry but that is not secure if you are telling me that children can not have close enough fingerprints to their parents to do that. If they truly are all completely unique to the individual.

Lol that is why I don’t leave my phone around any of my kids. They would totally do that to me. Heck they may even change the password just to mess with me :)

My 10yo daughter can open my phone with her fingerprint. I know she doesn’t know how to set it up herself.

Lol. So you say that child sometimes have similar fingerprint to patent? Might be funny story to investigation :D

Handing over a cell phone to a child is unsafe, especially if the child knows your payment password, and there may be unnecessary problems, and sometimes these problems are not easy to solve. (the machine I designed)
Once there was a kid who paid for the game on my mobile phone, but that game was not suitable for his age. It would be a bad habit to let the kid take the phone.
