For awhile my default application was somehow set to MindNode, then it switched to Warp (the terminal emulator) after I installed that application - I changed all settings inside Warp but it did not change anything. I have done the following steps:

- Right-click, open with, Other - select Typora, check the box for "Always Open With"

This only changes the default application for that ONE SINGLE FILE - all others remain set to some other app

- uninstalled, redownloaded, reinstalled Typora
- uninstalled Warp

This changes the default application for markdown files to MindNode (???)

- uninstalled MindNode

Voila! All markdown files now associated with Typora!

If I reinstall either MindNode or Warp they automatically get assigned as the default application for only a certain number of markdown files. Each grabs the same files, but they are not *all* of the files. Some have YAML headers, most do not. I can not make heads or tails of why. Some are in nearby folders on the same drive.

Has anyone else ever run into this issue?

FIXED!

The solution is evidently to set it from the Finder 'Info' panel.

Select a file
Cmd+i
In the 'Open with:' section, select your preferred Markdown editor (in my case, Typora)
Click the button just below labeled "Change All..."
You will see an "Are you sure..." popup box. Click the 'Continue' button.

Voila, all done.

I have even reinstalled both Warp and MindNode after doing this procedure and the changes persist.
