Restart and boot up times

I hope they improve this by the time they finalize Yosemite. These were some of the highlights of the recent OS X release...it's taking me about 3 mins to restart. That may seem like nit picking, but compared to 30 seconds under mavericks...that's a 500% increase (I think)

Cold boot up time using Yosemite PB 2 is between 12, and 14 seconds. Timed this a number of times using a digital watch. I do not have lots on the computer, and I don't use older programs or have lots of apps. Only AdBlock/CCleaner and that's it. MacBook Pro retina Mid 2014, 128 GB storage and 8 GB memory. Second system with Yosemite, the boot up time is about 45/58 seconds with a 500 HDD spinner.

How about shutdown and restart time? I think the shutdown time is what is killing me.

Cold boot takes me about 16 secs

SHUT DOWN....Between a fast 3 seconds up to 6 seconds. Twice it took about 21 seconds, but unknown why

RESTART...All over the place. Mostly 24 seconds or a tad more about 29 seconds

Odd...this only started happening for me with PB 2

Mind bender for sure.

Some program you installed ? Do a PRAM (are you familiar on how to do it ?) and see if that works for you

Command (⌘), Option, P, and R at boot up and release after hearing the boot up tone twice
