I tried to delete a single reminder from the full reminder list on my iphone.
I thought I had selected just the single reminder, however, all the reminders built up over a long period of time were deleted.
Any suggestions for recovering them?

Reminders does not backup or has a deleted folder, so once deleted, it's gone.

If one has a Mac and a Time Machine backup, can try to restore the entire Reminders database. Looks like the data is stored in ~/Library/Reminders. Have not tried to do this myself, so not sure what problems one might run into (read: might make things worse by causing loss of all Reminders in iCloud).

I appreciate your input.

Unfortunately, the Time Machine backup is not configured on my mac air.

I thought perhaps I could restore the reminders in icloud via Restore Calendars and Reminders in Data Recovery; however, since I don't see the deleted reminders in there, I assume such reminders relate to Calendar reminders rather than reminders created in the Reminder app.

I think Apple removed Reminder restore with Catalina/iOS 13 when the new Reminders app was released.

Another option they dropped was ability to create a Reminders archive file in MacOS.
