My 2.0.1 was finally running smoothly...all the way through a sickeningly slow 7 hour back-up (yes, SEVEN HOURS!). Then I installed a few more apps no problem. Installed one more, and before it finished installing (via i-Tunes), I got the white apple of death.

Had to restore, then used backup.

It has taken restore another SEVEN HOURS to restore.

**Now that it's FINALLY reached the end of the green line (as it slowly loads), it's been just sitting full...and won't finish. It's now been sitting at the "full" line for at least an hour.

What should I do? Unplug? Won't that cancel the last 7 hours of restore (friggin ridiculous, btw!!!!).

Any suggestions before I unplug this thing and smash it to bits??:eek:

Thanks,

Markuson

Update...

After waiting EIGHT HOURS for the restore process to complete...

Nothing.

White Apple of Death.

To add insult... Now, attaching the phone locks my computer up so that I can't click on anything until I unplug the phone!!!

HEY APPLE!!!!!!

PULL YOUR HEAD OUT!!!!!!!!

Losing faith BIG TIME.
I've had this phone for a month, and have had to start over no less than NINE TIMES!!!!!

ARRRRGGGGGHHHHHH!!!!!!!

New name: Applesoft???
Sheesh. Ridiculous.:mad::apple::mad:

Is it just me or I'm having restoring problems on my iPhone 3G?

I have updated the 2.0.1 firmwire and took me long time to restore.

I thought it was finished but the same message pops up on my iPhone saying:

"Set up as new phone" or "Restore from back up of:"

I've actually clicked eject iphone and plugged it back in. Yet, the same message still comes up... What is wrong with my iPhone?
