Restore from backup fails - contacts lost

I upgraded my silverback iPhone to 3.0 yesterday using pwnage, but restoring texts and contacts fails. No error messages come up during the process, but afterwards the phone is blank, no contacts or texts...

The backup file has the wrong date, it says May and I backed up a couple of days ago.

I use Snow Leopard and iTunes 9

Any hints on solving this or recovering another backup file??
