Restore Full Screen Apps?

Why don't FS Apps restore as Full Screen when I logout/restart. Yes, all the correct toggles are in place to do this.

I have seen the same issue. I did not have to do anything on Lion. Doesn't seem to work on Mountain Lion. I am new to Mac though, so I might be missing something in the settings maybe. . .

Now my mail and calendar open up as full screen apps. You just have to have the "reopen my windows when logging back in" checked.
