I've read through many tutorials and am still a bit confused. I need to restore my original iPhone with 1.1.4 to its factory settings so the Apple geniuses can't tell I've unlocked and jailbroken the phone. My understanding is that I just plug into iTunes and press restore. Please confirm if it's as simple as that. Thanks!

I believe that you must first run the re-virginizer from installer before restoring
the re-virginizer should relock your phone

I know it must have been covered before but I can't seem to find it after searching for an hour. How do I revirginize my phone?

Ok, based on various other posts in other threads, I went ahead and just restored my phone on iTunes. The process took a while but it says it's done. I now have 2.0.2 instead of 1.1.4. I do have a legitimate AT&T iphone account but I had my phone unlocked for use when I'm overseas. When I restored, I had my AT&T sim in the phone. I just tried putting the non-AT&T sim in and it's asking me to connect to iTunes. Does that mean the phone is re-locked? I need to bring my phone back to Apple tomorrow for repairs...please help!

Thanks!
