I have a Mac Pro, mid 2010, and I want to sell it.
How do I convert it to the as delivered factory condition ?

Boot form the DVD come with your Mac Pro. Use the disk utility there to erase the HDD and install the stock OSX back.

Thanks. I forgot they were the days of systems on DVDs . I even just found the original DVD.
I notice the boot DVD is OS 10.6.4
To be fair I think I should sell it with latest system.
I wonder if it is possible to go from that old system to Yosemite ?.

I didn't try, but AFAIK, you can, just download the and run the installer from AppStore (download by another machine or upgrade to the latest Snow leopard).

Update to Yosemite within the OS. Then hold Cmd+R on startup. This will boot into OS X Utilities.

Open Disk Utility, wipe Macintosh HD. Go to 'Reinstall OS X'. Install to your newly-formatted Macintosh HD partition.

Then it'll go through the first-time setup once it's all installed, and you can just turn it off from there. As soon as the user turns it on, it'll be the brand-new setup; latest OS too.

Please quote this if you have any further queries or run into any problems.
