Restore Mail accounts?

Hi all,
how can I restore my POP Gmail accounts from TimeMachine, if at all?

I have tried to re-enter the details manually through Prefs/Accounts but when verifying the account it just sits there spinning away....

When I first installed Yosemite months ago, I had to delete and reload the gmail account. Out of 5 different gmail accounts only 2 of them needed restored/verified.

Yeah I couldnt get mail to verify anything last night, have had to change IMAP instead of POP, even when disabled in Gmail.

Is there anyway of Junk mail not being downloaded?

Update: Managed to sort it out.
restored back before with Time Machine and checked the settings with POP. Re-tried it again and unchecked the Automatically detect settings, working fine now!

EDIT:

one account out of 3 is not working under Internet accounts
keep getting error message

Authentication failed
Failed to authenticate with Google

also tried with/without 2step security, no go

best thing is not to install the beta .3
