I've been having an issue with my iPhone lately so I decide to do a restore from new. So last night after erasing my iPhone and selecting the option to restore from new I was asked to enter my Apple ID password to use for store purchases (not sure if this is the first screen or what).

So here's the thing.....Apple wasn't asking me to enter the password for my Apple ID. Instead it was someone else's email. As if that wasn't weird enough, when I hit 'skip this step' I was then taken to a new screen with the same question that featured yet a different email address. This happened 4 more times. I was prompted to enter my password but shown a completely different email address.

I can't recall how I resolved this but things are working just fine now. My question is, has anybody else encountered such a thing? It was truly bizarre.

Have music or other internet sourced apps on your phone? Jailbroken? I've seen something similar where your phone will prompt you for someone else's app purchasing password because they had music on their phone that was purchased by another iTunes id.

The phone was erased. Nothing was on it.
