Restore Problem

phone froze up today.Gets passed the apple logo but gets stuck after with a black blank screen.I tried to restore with itunes but i keep getting this error.
"The Iphone could not be restored.This device isnt eligible for the requested bulid" Can someone please help?

3gs with 3.0 firmware

From what I have read, Apple stopped signing the 3.0 & 3.0.1 IPSW's for 3GS, so iTunes will no longer accept those only the 3.1 IPSW.

So, I guess you will have to update to 3.1 to get your phone running (Ouch as you won't be able to unlock it)

I would read the DevTeam blog before doing any upgrade. Google it, it will come up.

You have no choice but to restore to 3.1. Hopefully you have your IBSS and IBEC files.

Thanks guys for the reply. Im gonna hold off till the PwnageTool for 3.1 comes out. Glad i waited.
