well, with the genious new iTunes it seems apple makes you uncheck a box to not automatically sync to any new detected devices, and in an effort to charge my phone off my tower mac cpu, it started trying to sync, which i promptly canceled. So I bring my iphone 3gs over to my laptop (where it is normally synced) and it asks me to restore...
my question is this: can i use the same custome_restore image i generated for the latest pwnage a month ago to restore it (holding down shift or whatever of course), or do i have to generate a new IPSW, and i imagine i will loose all my apps and music etc.... but is that the right thing to do or should i approach it differently? thanks... (I am still on the old baseband fortunately and don't want to inadverdently lose it)

appreciate any help!

no ideas on this? ok, perhaps i will just continue later today, but if anyone has any advice i would very much appreciate it.

thanks

u can use the old pwned .ipsw. it will have the standard stuff the unpwned .ipsw has but it will have cydia and icy, or just one of those what ever u chose to put on it. it will not have any of ur data, u hav to resync with itunes, and restore from a backup....earlier from when it told u to restore.
