Hi:

I was wondering if anyone had a guide as to how to get back to 1.1.2 unlocked if the soft upgrade somewhat screws up, or has too many problems. I currently have an unlocked 1.1.2 upgraded from 1.1.1, which was from 1.0.2. I just want to make sure I know how to get back to my current state if something goes wrong on the upgrade.

thanks

I am looking for this answer too. I had an unlocked 1.1.2 and I did the soft upgrade. Midway through the upgrade, it had an error. I restarted it, and it was a not jailbroken 1.1.3 with my previous jailbroken 1.1.2 apps still on it. The only problem was, the phone didnt recognize the previous hack. It was a mess and I had to restore it to 1.1.3 thinking I could downgrade to 1.1.2 or 1.1.1 since some guides were saying this. Everytime I try to downgrade through iTunes I get errors. Also I am not sure what baseband I have, but I did get the phone a couple weeks after release date. Hope someone can shed some light. Thanks

Jdl: While I am looking for a guide, I believe if you screw up 1.1.3, you have to downgrade it back to 1.1.1, jailbreak that, install oktoprep, upgrade to 1.1.2, and you are now back where you started. I believe if you had the phone unlock by anysim, this doesn't change, and the phone is still unlocked, but I don't know that forsure. Hence why I am asking here.

Download the 1.1.1 firmware to your computer. If your phone screws up during the 1.1.3 jailbreak (like mine did, twice), and won't boot in iBrickr (again, like mine), then you can go into itunes and hold shift and click restore, and then choose the 1.1.1 firmware that you saved, and backup straight to that and start all over.

i am going to upgrade from 1.1.2 to 1.1.3 using the jailbreak 1.1.3 in installer... when i do this update is it ok if my iphone is plugged into my computer when doing so?

thanks,
ipaqman
