Restoring iMessages

Hi,

I have an iphone 6, which I find...not very fast. I've been using the same profile from my iphone 4 then it's been restored to many iphones... Looks like all these years of this profile slow my phones I soon as I restored it on my new phones.


I would like to start a new profile. Most of the useful stuff will is synced via icloud so no problem here..except iMessages.

I don't want to lose it.

So, is there an mac os app that would give me the possibility to restore only iMessage through restore mode or I don't know...

+1 on the tutorial above. I've done it twice and it's worked without a hitch.

+2 for the linked article above. I just used it to transfer my entire iMessage history (from my iPhone) to a fresh install on an iPad and it worked flawlessly. Just follow the directions closely and you should be good.

another question, do you know if it's possible to do the same thing with the data from the Activity app (apple watch) and health app?
