Ive been waiting for like 20 mins now...is this normal if I have 7.1 GB of Apps/games?

Everything worked fast until now.

Something wrong?

Same thing here, though if I turn on my phone, I get a screen that says, "Restore Completed... there are just a few more steps to follow." There's a large "Continue" button, but I'm afraid to touch it while iTunes still says "Restoring iPhone Apps."

I'm in the same boat. My phone say complete but iTunes still says restoring. I'm not touching anything till iTunes says it's done. My restoring apps progress bar is getting close so I'll update once complete.

Somewhat similar: I *thought* I was done because I phone came back online like normal and I got my pass code screen. I unplugged. Went back later to plug it in to charge and it said it needed to finish restoring. Then said restore failed. and on and on it goes. I've been in a restore loop for ages now. When/if I get this fixed, can I return to my yesterday back up?

Have two computers going right now, one is updating my wife's 3GS and the other my Touch. Both have been restoring apps for over 20 minutes.

I was having the same problem. After MANY repeated attempts I finally got to the restoring apps part. My phone just looked like it was finished, so after reading a few posts here where it looked like that was normal I went ahead and unlocked the phone and had to go through several set-up screens. After doing that, I was back to my normal home screen but the apps are not all there. I'm thinking maybe now we can use the phone while it's backing up? Not sure but at least I know right now I don't have a brick!

I'm torn as to what to do right now. I need to leave. I don't know if I should click stop. I really need to get out of here and it's only a little over half done, but on the other hand I don't want to put myself back at square one when I get home. Well, I should have left 10 minutes ago and it's nowhere near finished. I have no other choice than to stop it and hope for the best *fingers crossed*

Both the phone and touch are now "Restoring iPod/iPhone music and videos...". Man, what a long process. I still have two iPads to do next!

Same for me.. "Restoring iPhone apps..." in iTunes but iOS 5 is installed and the phone appears to be usable .. while it's restoring apps.

I see that not all of my apps are there but are slowly appearing during the "restore apps" process.

Seems like it's working, it's just odd that the update to iOS 5 is finished but iTunes is still restoring apps while the phone is usable.

ETA: By the way, "restoring apps" for me so far has been about 20 mins. It's at about 60%.
