So i was restoring my iphone, erasing all data and content, but it was taking a very long time. I was stupid and was impatient and held down the sleep/lock button to turn the phone off.
after that it will not turn back on. I have tried hooking it up to my mac pro via usb, as well as to the wall power via usb.... no luck.

it shows the silver apple logo after pressing the power button but it goes away after about 5 seconds..... any help, ideas? Thanks!

Wow. I literally just did the exact same thing 10 minutes ago and am now in the same predicament. I hope someone has a good answer for us. I'll keep searching and if I find something I'll post it here.

I'm regretting being impatient now.

so with my iphone plugged into my computer i heald the home and lock button and it finally pulled up the plug into itunes icon..... keep holding it until itunes starts on your computer. it should bring up your iphone in recovery mode!
