Hi,
I have just noticed that I have synced and backed up my iPhone after accidentally deleting a text message that I wanted to keep from one person. Would it be possible to restore from an older sync (the last but one for instance)? Any other suggestions for saving this text message? Thank you

Connect your phone when iTunes open click on your iphone on the left side, Pick restore from back up. Pick the date that you know the text is still on your phone. That should work

You have to do a full restore in iTunes by clicking the "restore" button. After the restore is done, the iPhone will reboot. When it connects for the "first time" it will ask if you want to "set up new iPhone" or "restore from backup". Use the drop down list and select the date of your desired backup, and let it sync. Problem solved.
