"restoring iphone software" problem

Taking my jailbroken iphone 4.0 and trying to restore it, (so I could re-jailbreak as I had problems with facetime and mms) leaves me in endless restore loop.
It gets about 95% finished,and hangs...for hours....leaving me a bricked phone.
I am restoring to iphone 4.01 by option clicking at time of restore.Any help outof this problem greatly appreciated.

Problem solved,( through no help of Apple Tech support, I might add).The fix was trying iphone on another computer.For some reason, it worked, restored in minutes...now happily re-jailbroken.
