I have had some major problems with my battery dying and also slow charging over the last few days...i am not sure what is causing the problem so i figured i would try restoring my iPhone 7 back to iOs 11.2.2....Towards the end of the process (but before the backup restore), my iPhone keeps wanting to download the 11.2.5 update and it won't let me not update. Is there a way to prevent it from downloading the 11.2.5 update?

You need to manually download 11.2.2 and click shift+option restore in iTunes. This will allow you to manually select 11.2.2.

i did that, but when during the restoring process it made me 11.2.5 again...not sure how to prevent that or why it made me do that...

What do you mean it made you 11.2.5? If you follow my method you manually select 11.2.2.

It sounds like the backup you are restoring from was created when you were on 11.2.5, which can't be restored to 11.2.2. Your backup needs to be restored to the same version it was created on. You'll need to set up your device as a new device if you want to stay on 11.2.2

Good catch, didn’t even think about that.

Or use an older 11.2.2 or earlier backup if you have one.

Did 11.2.5 introduce new bugs? Just wondering why someone would want to stay on 11.2.2.
I have had some major battery issues with 11.2.5 (battery draining fast then I try to charge it and after 30min the battery increases by only 1%)
