When restoring my iPhone 5 to iOS 7 would it be necessary to first put it into DFU mode? I've heard people that say that their restores fail if done regularly via iTunes, also would this affect me using the iOS 7 ipsw (Yes, my UDID is registered with a dev account).
Would there be anything special I should do to my iPhone 5 before restoring? It's running 6.1.2 and I'm using iTunes 11.0.4
