I Jailbroke my iPhone yesterday, before I did, I backed it up though. Now I wish to restore it back to before the jailbreak. I did a restore from backup and its still jailbroken.

Any ideas on what I'm doing wrong, of if what I'm doing is even possible.

Can I even restore my iPhone back to its original factory settings?

are your sure you are restoring or just syncing? A restore should take about 10 minutes to do and it will remove all of your media, apps, and data, after that it should be back to normal.

I'll bet you're right. Sound like the OP is simply syncing. Just put your phone into restore mode or DFU (directions are simple and can be found here or via Google), plug into iTunes and let it do its thing.
