I was wondering if there is any way or any software that will let you restore OSX from a disk image, without the need for having a 2nd OS on a different partition in order to do it.

Using SuperDuper, it seems that you can't restore the OS you are running. In order to restore your 'main' OS drive, you need 2 bootable OS's, so that you can boot into the 'restore' one in order to restore the 'main' one.

Surely there is a way to only have 1 OS, and also be able to restore it from a backup image?
