ok guys now i am in trouble ok here is what i did?
first i have 2g iphone unlcoked with software 1.1.2 and wanted to upgrade to 2.1
i connect my iphone to ituned click shift+update and choose 2.1 restore file (iPhone1,1_2.1_5F136_Restore.ipsw) but it gave me error that iphone can;t be updated.. then another messege that itunes detect iphone into recovery mode pls restore
i was afraid that if i click on restore my phone will be locked so i click on shift+restore and choose 1.1.2 file.. but it gave me error.. then i restore it again i click on shift+restore with file 1.0.2 and again it gave me error.

now it was in recovery mode..then i downloaded ibricker and i used it to jump out of recovery mode.. but it locked my iphone.. on the main screen in the background the picture was ituend and usb cable same as it was in recovery mode and at the bottom there was button saying emergency call when i slide it show number pad and at the top in center there was lock symbol.. so now what can i do to unlock it.??

First of all, get 2.2 now.

Second, shut your iPhone off. Once off, hold Power and Home for ten seconds. At ten seconds, release Power and keep holding Home for another ten seconds. Release and you'll be in DFU mode. Now hold Option (Control, I THINK, for Windows) and click Restore and choose the firmware 2.2 that you modified with PwnageTool to restore to that. Voila.

but my phone is locked ituens is not recognizing my iphone.. it says insert valid simcard...

pls help me guys... i am in serious trouble

yea you are
try using pwnage tool (or winpwn)

and dont get 2.2 if you ever want an unlock in the future, it uses a different baseband than 2.1 and they havn't even unlocked 2.x
they have a way of updating to 2.2 without changing the baseband
