Hey

I'm restoring to default 3.1 after needing to go into the Apple Store tomorrow. I restored tonight and Cydia, Icy and the pineapple boot logo are all still there after the restore.

I've tried restoring twice and still the same.
I jailbroke using PwnageTool 3.1 earlier today.

Cydia and Icy both load properly.

Any ideas how to get rid of all this??

Thanks

Hide them with SBSsettings? :)

DFU mode restore?

I was going to hide with SBSettings but that won't get rid of boot logo :(

DFU restore - please explain? Is it just putting iPhone into DFU mode and option clicking to restore to a clean OS copy?

Thanks heaps

If cydia and icy are still loading etc then you still are restoring to a JB firmware.

Try restoring to a freshly downloaded 3.1 direct from apple.

Once restored are you selecting "set up as new phone?". If you set it up from a backup it keeps those things I think. When I had a background set on the springboard and custom things done through jailbreak, I came to restoring it and these things stayed when I selected to set up from backup.

Don't do Option+Click, it's good only for restoring into a custom firmware...
If you want to restore to an unjailbroken firmware, just hit "Restore" on iTunes, no need for DFU.
After you restored, you can do "Restore from backup" to recover your settings.
Hope it helps
