My mom has a 3GS that needs to be restored, but I don't want to update to ios 5.0.1. If I tell iTunes to restore to 4.3.5, will it let me or require a full restore and update?

Did you update to iOS5 and want to roll back to 4.3.5 or are you still presently using 4.3.5?

I don't think you have to update the iOS unless you specifically choose to do so.

If you have 4.3.5 blob save, then you can restore to that firmware. Otherwise, you can only restore to 4.1 or 5.0.1 because that are the 2 firmwares that Apple are currently signing on 3GS.
