I'm having a problem with the restrictions setting on my iPhone and iMessages. For some reason with restrictions turned on, despite only having the camera and facetime disabled (for work reason), imessages is automatically turned off. When I go to the imessages menu in settings I have the option to turn them back on, but only using my e-mail address (not my phone number) and when I attempt to sign in, it fails.

Is this a designed feature? Am I missing something? I haven't tampered with the messages settings at all under restrictions (I don't even see the option to)
