iPhone Retina issue

Okay, im having this problem. I made the background to be retina (I have an iPhone 4) compatible in photoshop (960x640) but it always comes up like this.

Im using multiple backgrounds for different pages so how do I make this fit right? It should look like this. Does anyone have any idea why it might be acting up this way?? HELP!! D:

The only thing I could think of is maybe try saving for web and devices? I know this messes up icon masks, but I'm not sure about wallpapers. (also, just popped into my head, but maybe you have your parameters on inches instead of pixels. Make sure it's set to 960x640 px)

It is set to pixels and how do you save for web and devices?? Sorry, im relatively new.

Its gonna be a theme to go with the Typophone4 Lockscreen. Im continuing the project here. But unfortunately, i dont know much.

In file. instead of hitting "Save" or "Save As", There's an option for "Save for web and devices..." try hitting that see if it works.


I'll check out the theme sometime later. At work currently lol
