I've had an rMBP since July 11 and it's been a great machine. However, over the past 10 days I've had to hard reset the machine five times. It seems to be an issue with Mountain Lion and/or the Thunderbolt-to-FireWire adapter, but I'm not positive. (I had zero problems until last Monday, when I finally got the Thunderbolt adapter, although I had only installed Mountain Lion 1-2 days before.)
So far, two of the hard resets were required when trying to unlock the screen while the Thunderbolt adapter was plugged in, one hard reset was required when trying to unlock the screen *without* anything attached, and the latest hard reset (yesterday) was required due to a crash in Safari that froze the cursor. (I couldn't just hard-quit Safari; I had to hard reset the machine.)
Is anyone else having or hearing about problems like this? Are there are diagnostic tests I should run? As I said, the rMBP was rock-solid from July 11 to last week, so I'm thinking/hoping it's a Mountain Lion bug rather than a hardware problem. Thanks for all feedback.
