I accidentally deleted a message thread on my iPhone 11. Backup has since ran in iCloud. I can still see it on my Apple Watch. I have talked to my phone's provider as well as apple and they say since backup has ran after the deletion there is no way to get the message back on my phone. I was wondering since I can still view it on my watch, is there anyway to retreive it and get it back on my phone?

No, there isn’t.
It’s my understanding (which may not be fully accurate) that the watch is more so just a screen where data is fed from iPhone.
I think it appears the messages are simply cached on the watch so can’t be properly recovered.

OK thank you. I just was hoping that the watch was pulling the data from somewhere other than the phone and I could either retrieve it or send it from the watch to the phone but I have run into a dead end.
