Ok, so last year, before they introduced the MobileMe, I had created a 60 day trial of their .Mac service. I created an e-mail address and all, and when my trial had ended, I never carried on with the service, i.e. never renewed for a years service.

However, I was wondering if it is possible to buy a MobileMe subby, and then using that to retrieve my e-mail address which was a @Mac.com for use with MobileMe?

Thanks

To be honest I don't really know but I would think not as your account may have expired as you didn't extend the service. Mobileme has a chat help service so the best thing that you can do is to check with them.

Unless someone else on hear can you a definitive answer:)

Hey thanks for your reply. I was just curious myself, wondering if anyone had a definitive answer, but I do think that this isn't a possibility. Any body have confirmation? :)

Highly doubtful... I don't think they will do this
It will have to be a totally new account

I agree with

. That's my understanding from previous threads on the subject.

Apple officially said about 4 months ago that they would no longer allow retrieval of .Mac account names (they were doing this when .me was first released), and that they would be removed and all data deleted, so in short, no.

No problem, glad to help and sorry that you didn't get the answer that you wanted
