Debating whether to return 16 gb ipad for a 32 gb ipad wifi. Loaded up ipad and down to 4 gb free on 16 gb?

return 16gb for 32 gb wifi?

I traded a 32 up to 64. Movies take a bunch of space and I've got my whole music library on there. Probably not necessary exactly but there's only going to be more stuff coming out to take up room...
I was in the same situation, I have a 32gb and wanted a 64gb just in case.
I'm down to 9gbs right now, but I'm eventually going to remove some of my music. I realize I rarely listen to the iPod app anyway and with the 4g Touch being released next month, there's no reason to have it on the iPad.
If you still have plenty of time within your return period, I'd just hold on to your 16gb and give it a go for a few days and see if you still need the extra space, may have to purge unecessary files/apps every now and then. Otherwise, if you know you'll need a bigger drive, might as well make the switch.

You're down to 4GB? On day one with my 32GB iPad I was down to 1GB because I loaded it up with films and tv shows lol 
It depends on your needs. In my case 16GB is fine. All my music is on my iPhone and I pretty much only use the iPad to watch movies when I'm traveling. Since I'm never gone that long 16GB is fine for videos and if I want I can always delete stuff as I watch it and buy more stuff on iTunes.

You have to give us a little more info on where you are coming from? Are you using it just for movies? Do you plan on using it to load your music on it? Do you play a lot of games on it?
I wish I could have afforded more when I purchased my 16gb. I can't load my podcasts, music or all the apps I want. I had to turn photo syncing off and movies off as well. If I were you, I would definitely go for the 32gb MINIMUM! I am thinking about selling mine on craigslist or ebay and then upgrade to the 64 so I can use it the way I want. I never intended on using my iPad as my MBP replacement, but I rarely pick up my MBP at all anymore.
Not to try and steal your thread, but how much is going price for a mint 16gb wifi these days? Ebay prices are all over the price. I don't know if it would be worth it to try and sell and upgrade.

Thanks for all of your input. My timing was excellent as this is a tax free weekend in North Carolina (saved money) and got the 32gb wifi! Now I have all of my music and photos and still have almost 16gb free.

It's clearly too late now, but I was going to say.... If you are going through the trouble of returning it, you should just up it to a 64 Gig.
I personally wish apple would have released a larger 120 gig or something along those lines. I am one who would rather pay a bit more for extra space, then play the delete game. As it is, on 64 gig I have to delete stuff a lot.
I know I'm also too late here. But I wanted to add that I got the 16gb wifi and am quite glad I did not get the 32 or 64. The significant incremental cost for something that's likely to change and improve soon wasn't worth the additional investment. Being a thrift type (and not needing the larger storage that's relatively cheap anyway these days), I felt the 16 was the biggest bang for the buck. Also refused to play Apple's tiered marketing upsell game.
Thanks Richard for the insight. I was getting upset that I only got the 16gb and had plans on selling and buying the 32gb that is $100 more. I would have probably been out of pocket $100 for the loss on selling my 16gb and out another $100 on buying the $32gb model. Like you said, not too long from now they are going to release the newer revised models, they will probably start at 32gb for the same price as the current 16gb. Who knows? They might even do a mid-cycle refresh as early as September and I could jump on that and keep my money.
I think it's getting pretty greedy charging $100 more just for another 16gb of storage. I know for sure next time I am going to wait and save up enough money to get the highest storage capacity. I am getting very tired of having to daily delete all my photos, apps, music and videos just so I can take it with me to work. As soon as I beat a game, I have to delete it so I can play something else. 16gb is way too small for a device that has almost completely replaced my MBP.

If you can afford it I say go for the biggest possible about of storage. I'm sure that 32gb is plenty for most but I am glad I went with the 64gb.
