is it possible to return.. or actually exchange an iphone at someplace besides where you bought it? I originally bought mine at the apple store, but i can not stand their service or how i have to speak with a genious before anything can happen. Can i take it to my local at&t store for an exchange?

or can warranty stuff be performed already even though i am still within my 14 day window.

I don't think you can go apple to att or att to apple, maybe. but you can go to any apple store, but thats slightly obvious.

If you need to exchange, go to an Apple store. Just make an appointment with a genius. They are pretty busy these days, so you need to make the appointment the night before or early in the morning. They book up fast. If you are returning, return to the place you purchased it from. If you exchange it, ask them if you can dock it real quick on one of their computers. This will activate the phone so at least you can use it. You don't have to answer any of the questions in iTunes. Just dock and give it a few minutes.
