Hello, I bought the 27inch iMac on December 9, 2010. It has severe hard drivve noise, and screen buzzing. I was wondering if you think they would let me exchange it for the 21.5 inch model the 1499 one. Thanks in advance.

Usually Apple tries to fix it first but if they end up replacing the whole machine, you can always ask if you could get something else
You'd be really pushing it being over a month from purchase. You could say it was given as a Christmas gift and you (or the person you "gave it to") decided they'd prefer the 21.5" model instead.
The worst they can say is no. Just be polite and respectful to the Genius and you should be in good shape. Ultimately, their job is to satisfy their customers and not leave them having a sour taste for Apple products. Because of this, they often bend the rules to accommodate you.
