I just returned my ipad pro and I am not sorry to let it go.
i really wanted to love this device just as much as I love my macbook air M1.
it really came down to what do I need this for and I could not find a legit reason. If anything I found myself doing more work with that by my bedside than not. It‘s an amazing machine with great capability, but ultimately not for me.

i do want to say if battery is something you are worried about the m1 ipad pro battery life is not great especially if you use apple pencil with it as a note taker.

i am going to wait for a mini to come out that was the last ipad i purchased and i really enjoyed that thing until it totally died on me.

If you could not find a reason to keep it one has to question your thought process for buying it in the first place.
I have to wonder how people on this forum would survive if they could not return products, might make them choose more wisely.

Companies have liberal return policies because in the end it's good for their overall sales and there's nothing wrong with giving a product an honest try and returning it for any reason.

I originally thought same thing when I decided to trade in my 10.5 for the air 4. But for 200 dollars more , the 2021 pro is much better bang for the additional features. cant ignore the double the storage and ram. We know the premium apple usually charges just for more storage

one has to pay 200 more for next model of an air 4 if they want or need more than 64 gig

Well, sometimes you need to see and use something to fully realize what's right for you. When iPads first came out, I said "oh, look, a big iPhone. Pass". But I decided to give it a go and now I use the hell out of it.

Lol, my first thought was "Ooh, that would be good for comics!" followed by "It's surprisingly affordable for Apple." I was expecting it to cost $1K.

I did pass on the first gen. A4+256MB RAM with 1024x768 res sounds like it wouldn't perform particularly well. I was hoping to go straight to retina but ended up getting the iPad 2 upon release.

But the person didn’t even know what they wanted it for, it’s typical of todays throw away society , not sure if i need it but I’ll buy it anyway…………

Speaking of throwaway society, at least it won’t go straight to the landfill. Someone will buy it at a discount from the refurbish store, enjoy it for a few years, and then it will go into a landfill ?

I've been taking my old electronics to a specialized recycling firm.

the thought process for buying an M1 ipad pro is because it is new tech and it is worth convincing yourself whether or not this new tech has something you might enjoy or not. In my case the ipad pro did not provide that for me. I prefer my macbook air and iphone as portable devices that a touch screen which frankly does not do too much without the add on accesories.

’I can’t think of any reason to buy the M1 iPad Pro but anyway I bought it, and let me start a thread on MacRumors telling everyone why I don’t want the iPad but nevertheless bought it only because I can return it for free, as if the iPad Pro has any problem.’
