I have an iPad 5th gen and I have decided to return to Apple after the home button become a little loose, it’s under warranty, they no longer sell this iPad so if they replace it will I get a brand new iPad or refurb, I’m in uk btw
I doubt it. Apple stores usually keep plenty of prior generation products in brown packaging just for warranty exchanges. You could try and hope for the best.
You didn't say when you purchased it, but I'm guessing it's outside the return window.
Almost certainly they'll either send it off for repair or, at best, you'll get a refurbished model back. I say almost because very occasionally a punter will hit the jackpot and they end up upgrading, but that's the exception rather than the rule.
