Returning 27' c2d for i5 (UK)

Has anyone done this in the UK yet? And how much extra did you have to pay?

Im only doing this because their is a fault where I see a white light line intermittently flash across the screen from left to right ( managed to capture it on video on my phone) so I might aswell just upgrade to the i5 iMac and pay the extra.

I almost forgot to add that it's within 14 days return policy

UK or US you'll have to pay the difference. I'm sure the difference is posted on Apple's website. Of course you'll be taxed on the difference.

As your in your first 14 days, you can literally walk into the store and say you want a refund/replacement.

You'll just have to (obviously) pay the difference.

Thanks!! Im just wondering if anyone else has done this yet.. And how much the difference actually was to put in? I used my girlfriends Uni discount which I think was 12% off and £48 for Apple Care

If it helps, the cost of a Core i7 iMac + AppleCare from the UK Higher Education store is £1591.60

Im doing the same, I purchased the C2D 27" iMac last Mon, Im taking it back on sat. They will give a full refund then you can purchase a new one. If they don't have an i5 in store I shall have to order one and wait!

It sucks that many other countries have them shipping in 7-10 days not in Nov. Other countries also have had stock to thier stores. I havn't heard of any store in the UK have stock apart from Regent Street.

Smart decision. i5 is way better then c2d. You might even want to consider the i7 if you have heavy processor needs. (If you buy the iMac just to fool around with casual university stuff, autocad, excel etc like me, the i5 will be more then plenty).

Just hope they have one in stock, or else you'll be stuck with an order
