Returning a 32Gig Wifi for a 16Gig 3G? What are the return policies?

I bought two iPads, 1 64G 3G and 1 32G Wifi. I'm thinking of returning the 32G wifi for a 16gig wifi for the wife. We have had our iPads for two weeks, what is the apple return policy to return an iPad?

Any information will help. Thanks!

30 days for the iPad with a 10% restocking if opened.

but when your at the Apple Store, let them know your intentions (that you want to downgrade) before you do the actual return. I remember when the first gen iPod nano came out, I bought the 2gb nano and quickly realized that if was't enough space, so I went back to upgrade to the 4gb nano and they waived the restocking fee without me asking.

but every store has different policies and its been a wile since I've returning anything at the Apple Store, so things could be different now, but it never hurts to ask if they can waive the restocking fee.

How does it work if you bought it at apple.com to return it to the retail store to 'upgrade'. it is opened. should you keep the activated SIM card?

The return policy is 14 days (except the iPhone, 30 days)

But I went to my local Apple Store right before the iPad + 3G was released and the manager told me that I had 30 days from the original purchased date to return my iPad + WiFi. I'm not sure if 30 day return period for the iPad was just because the 3G version was coming soon or if its part of exception like the iPhone (I didn't ask).

If you order from apple.com you have to return it to apple.com...went through this myself.

That's interesting , I have 9 days to decide on this 3G if it's 14 ?

I may go back to WiFi ........ screw AT&T.

Keep the 32, more space is a good thing. You may not need it now, but what about 6 months from now?

I just noticed this on apple's website,

"For iPhone returns, please refer to the iPhone Return Policy section below. For eligible Mac, iPad, iPod, and third-party products, you have up to 14 calendar days from the time you receive your item(s) to initiate a return."

I think that the 30 day exception was just because the iPad + 3G was coming out and they were allowing WiFi owners who bought it on april 3rd to return it and upgrade. (iPad WiFi and iPad WiFi + 3G were released 27 days apart from each other)
