I'm currently in the process of returning an iMac but based on these forums, I think the chances of getting a perfect model quite unlikely whether it's due to more hard drive faults or perhaps a screen issue.
I was wondering (specifically in the UK) what the policy is if the replacement itself is faulty? Must I accept a repair or am I entitled to a new unit?
Part of the reason I ask is because I'll be away when the replacement arrives so I won't get the chance to test it for maybe a week after delivery. I'd rather not get it "repaired" for a number of reasons and I'm wondering what sort of time frame I have.
Thanks.
EDIT: I opted for the iPod and printer rebate meaning if that I did get a refund rather than repair/replacement, I'd not be eligible for the rebate. Post edited accordingly.
