Returning AirPods and Apple Gift card card

I want to return the AirPods Pro I got in Black Friday sale but how do I return the gift card as it was sent by e mail ? Was charged the full £249 and e mailed the £50 gift BVM card. But I‘d prefer to pay £229 to Amazon and not have to hold onto an electronic gift card which I could lose until inbred to use it
any help please ?

If I return the APP 2 will I only get refund of £197 even though I paid £247 for them with the free gift card. ? I do not need a gift card only my money refunded. if this is the case then it’s a bitty shady dealing on Apples part

I don't think you'll find any retailer that accepts gift card returns.

Yes, when you return the AirPods the £50 will be deducted from the refund. Gift Cards are non-returnable; not just those purchased on Black Friday but any time.

I don’t know if it works like this in other countries (I’m in USA) but here, if you look at your original purchase invoice the “Product” discount is already reflected there, and there’s a separate charge for the gift card. So it’s quite clear how a refund will work, before completing the purchase.

That would be the case. Perhaps macrumors should clarify any returns on apples bf sale means you’re stuck paying for the gift card.

It’s not shady. You can see why the gift cards aren’t free.

1. Buy 10 AirPods Pro
2. Get 10 $50 gift cards
3. Return the airpods
4. Profit $500!

That’s not going to happen.yes that’s fine but if the AirPods are not suitable and I return them I do not want the gift card and wish to return it not spend it !

Surely Apple can cancel the gift card which wax even sent as e mail and not an actual card ?
