I prefer my 2nd Gen AirPods over the new AirPods Pro in almost every possible way(With the exception of listening to music at high volume with noise canceling enabled), The "Vacuum" that the AirPods Pro creates in my ear is unpleasant and even with transparency Mode i still don't like it so i'm going to return it first thing tomorrow morning, it might be because i never used these ear canal insulating rubber tip type headphones in the past but they are very unpleasant to wear due to the vacuum they create in the ear canal. I tried liking them but after about an hour of playing around with it i just don't see myself using these daily and enjoying the experience. The rubber tips also feel very cheap to be honest.

Think I’m going to have to take mine back. Can’t get a comfortable fit. Ears hurt during and after wearing – have tried all the tips.
It’s a shame cause i was hoping these would replace my Gen 2 and QC35 with one device but looks like I’m outta luck

Hurt as in sound pressure pain, or pain from the physical dimensions of the AirPods?

I'd be surprised if it were sound pressure pain since you use QC35, which is still going to be my airplane headphones though the APP's are very good with ANC.

I only get sound pressure pain from the QC35 when I stop music for several minutes with ANC working.

I was worried about these which is why I like the EarPods and the AirPods design but the Pro are fine. I’m very thankful as they are definitely a step up for me.

the physical dimensions. Which is weird as the normal AirPods fit perfectly. Guess it’s just in ear design doesn’t agree with my ear shape.

Not my experience - I find the Airpods Pro to be very comfortable compared to pretty much any other in-ear-type of headphones

Opposite here. Loving the seal. Not scared of them falling out now. Selling Q35s, gen 1’s & beats x. Killing 3 birds with one st.

I’d hold on to the 35s. I’m not getting rid of mine since I describe the 35s as noise cancelling ear muffs.

It's afternoon now. Please update us. Did you make it first thing in the morning? How was traffic? Any line in the store? It isn't cool making this type of thread and leave people hanging, there are so many questions. If you haven't returned them can I persuade you to change your mind?

Decided to give them a try for at least one day before I return them and yes, please do.

I prefer the in ear which is why I have the Powerbeats pro. Had the first gen AirPods but didn’t love them . Try them out for a few more days imo and see if you get used to them. Have nothing to lose trying them for 14 days
